Running boards look good, seem well made, were very easy to install (even the brackets on either side of the DEF tank), but the steps aren’t deep enough or low enough to allow you to step perpendicular to the running board. You’ve got to turn your foot so it’s nearly parallel or you’re just stepping on with your toes. Not idea for when the surface is wet. I don’t have giant feet and this is an issue even when wearing casual or gym shoes. Work boots makes it even worse.
Took me about 20 minutes to install the brackets to both the side steps (loosely so you can adjust once on the 4Runner).Then it took took me about another 20/30 minutes per side to mount/adjust/tighten…They are good and sturdy and look great.. now she is ready for the lift/level kit and bigger tires :)Oh the lady is happy!!! It’s hers!!!
quality outstanding, looks on the vehicle outstanding, value for the money outstanding, definitely Mount the steps to the brackets first, then Mount brackets and step to the vehicle at the same time adjust from there.
black boated steps that look great with my wheels i painted the day before. wanted that rugged look that i achieved with these steps. i never liked the look of oval running boards. installation takes at least two people unless you have a jack. be prepared to be a little frustrated when tightening the bolts underneath as its a little tricky. got them both on in 1.5hrs.
Best alignment for bolt on project ever!
