Easy to install, looks great!

These arrived in two separate boxes, one for the bars and the second box for the hardware - that was the heavy box. The rails were protected nicely and marked for driver/passenger side. The brackets were not marked so had to follow the pictures on the installation paperwork. The nuts, bolts and washers were all in one package. It took about 30-45 minutes to set up (tools, bracket locations, hardware separation). I separated the hardware and put the washers on so when I was under the truck I wasn't having to assemble the hardware. The actual installation took about an hour each side. The factory bolts needed a breaker bar and required a 12 mm socket. The installation hardware requires a 13 mm socket. A good air ratchet makes installation quicker. Mine wasn't strong enough to screw out tight bolts nor to finish tightening the bolts so added a bit of time switching to a ratchet. The bars are light weight so I did not need assistance with any of the installations. The instructions had the option of torquing to 10-20 ft lbs or tightening until the lock washer was flush. Tools: A light, breaker bar, torque wrench (optional); ratchet with 6 inch extension, 12 mm and 13 mm sockets.

All 6 brackets arrived with chipped paint. I spoke to the manufacturer and they said that was not normal so I returned just the brackets. The replacements eventually arrived and each of those had chipped paint also. I would think if you are sending a replacement for something that is defective that someone would actually look at each one before shipping them out. It's not cheap to ship these back & forth so I'm not sure why they wouldn't check them. The side steps look perfect though. I was given a discount and had to paint them myself.
