My partner has a disability, so these were unnecessary. Add on to my pick up truck. She is now able to climb in on her own. I also purchased the raptor brackets and found installation to be fairly easy.

My headline states better than OEM because I compared them to the same exact dealer installed running boards my local Toyota dealer installs for a little over $1,200. The only difference I have noticed is not containing the "Tacoma" name on the running board, a purely cosmetic difference. The materials and patterns replicate the other exterior plastic components of the truck both in color, graining and shape pattern. The brackets are sturdy and of great quality, powder coated as stated in the seller's description. The actual running board is fully encapsulated in plastic. This is important to me as I live in a state that salts the roads in winter and have noticed most metal style running boards rusting, even on relatively newer vehicles. Although I consider myself mechanically inclined, I suspect most people can install these running boards in as little as 15 minutes per side. The instructions are clearly legible, and all fasteners attach to the truck body without issue. I did not need to jack the vehicle to install the boards and after a month of use, they still look great! Highly recommended in both functionality and looks.

I bought these for my new Ford Ranger and they look great! Every bracket matched up perfectly to the threaded holes under the truck and installation was effortless.

Installation took about 1 hour (by myself) and was much easier than I anticipated. They seem very sturdy and the fit and finish looks great! Very happy with this purchase.
